Mt Airy Missions | #MtAiryGO

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Mt. Airy is an Acts 1:8 church striving to take the gospel to our next door neighbors, across the country and to all the nations.  We are passionately committed to following Jesus’ last spoken words to take the gospel to our Jerusalem, our Judea, our Samaria and the Ends of the Earth. If you are interested in finding out more about where we are serving and ways that you can be involved, email Chris Meaders at

GO Partners
At Mt. Airy we love equipping others to be on mission and we especially love those who have committed their lives to being on mission with Jesus around the world. Our GO partners are special to us and we want them to know that they are special. Please join with us in praying for them daily and encouraging them often with emails or letters, especially on their birthdays. Some of our partners have blogs or websites so that you can stay up to date with what is happening in their world. Please check these on a regular basis. If you decide you want to adopt one of these partners please let Chris know by sending him an email.

Disaster Relief Ministry Due to the devastation of the recent floods we have partnered with a sister church in an effort to help heal and restore. There are also other opportunities in helping during other relief efforts as well.

ESL Ministry Alex and Lidia Fernandez felt a burden for those in the community who were unable to access English classes, so they began teaching students twice a week (Monday & Thursday evenings) for free. This ministry is one that took off, and has brought many to Mt. Airy. Pray about teaching, serving, or working with childcare for this incredible ministry.

Reach Ministry REACH provides a safe and enjoyable atmosphere that enables everyone to experience the love and compassion of God.  Meetings usually consist of group message time, small-group study time (divided by age and gender), and a group activity time.  Meetings last about an hour.  As we only have one-hour to spend with God's children, meetings are usually very busy.

Mentor Upstate Mentor Upstate promotes the development of mentoring programs in schools and after school programs in upstate South Carolina and beyond, by recruiting and training mentors, providing resources and support to mentors, and enlisting community involvement. ‚ÄčOur goal is to support as many children as possible through positive, real one-on-one relationships. So the mentors 1) attend a training, 2) complete an application, and 3) commit one lunch or breakfast per week to meet with a student at his/her school. The schools choose the children that will most benefit from a mentor relationship, match the children with mentors and manage the program once it is established at the school.
